Latina, on this page, covers two cities a continent apart: Camila in Medellín and Valentina in Rio de Janeiro. Profiles are published one by one, so the list above is the up-to-date picture of who you can ring.
It sounds obvious, yet plenty of sites lump Latin America into a single box. Medellín is Colombian Spanish; Rio is Brazilian Portuguese. The slang, the music and the football arguments are different, and so are the clocks: Colombia sits five or six hours behind the UK, Rio three or four. If you've picked up a bit of either language on holiday or at an evening class, choose accordingly. If not, both calls work perfectly well in English.
Camila and Valentina share one trait, and it's deliberate: when a reply falls flat, they pick the thread up rather than wait. That helps on a first call, when most people aren't sure what to say.
