Free phone sex: the honest answer
Every 'free phone sex' advert in Britain ends the same way: at a 09 number, with a price per minute. We'd rather start there. Browsing costs nothing and there's nothing to sign up to; the call itself is charged, and this page explains why it couldn't be otherwise.
What's genuinely free
Everything before the call. That's not a small-print trick, just the honest limit of the word.
- Browsing. Every hostess's profile, her interests and her feed are open to read, with no account and no email address.
- Signing up, because there isn't any. No registration fee, no membership, no username.
- Staying in control. No subscription runs in the background, so there is nothing to cancel later.
What you do pay for
The conversation. Our service charge is 45p per minute, the same for every hostess at every hour. Your phone company adds its access charge, which it sets itself and which is usually higher on a mobile.
It all goes on your phone bill, alongside your other calls. You won't be asked for a card, and there's no credit to buy in advance.
Calls cost 45p per minute plus your phone company's access charge. 18+ only.
Why every 'free' adult line ends at a 09 number
Ofcom's numbering plan gives sexual entertainment services their own premium-rate ranges: 098, 0908 and 0909. A live adult line that charges for its calls has to sit on one of them. It's the rule that lets you recognise the service from the number alone.
So when an advert promises free phone sex, the 'free' part is usually a way in: a recorded introduction, a text message, a first number that passes you on to a second one. The second one starts with 09. Sometimes the price is as clear as the first promise was; often it isn't.
Why it can't be an 0800 number
0800 and 0808 numbers have been free to call from landlines and mobiles alike since 2015. That's the point of them: whoever you're calling pays for the line, and nothing can be charged to you through it.
A line where a real woman is paid to talk to you has to be funded by something. A Freephone number offers no way to do it, and the numbering rules keep adult services on the 09 ranges anyway. An 0800 number, in short, can't legitimately carry a paid adult service. If you see one advertised as such, treat it with suspicion.

Free, no card, no sign-up: not the same thing
People type all three into a search box as if they meant one thing. They don't, and mixing them up is how you end up somewhere you didn't mean to be.
- Free: the call costs nothing. Not the case here, and we'd rather say so than let you find out.
- No card: you never enter payment details. True here, because the call is billed to your phone.
- No sign-up: no account, no password, no email. Also true here. For most people typing 'free', this is what they were after.
Calling from a mobile
The number works from a mobile as well as a landline, and our service charge doesn't change. Your network's access charge may be higher, so it's worth a look at your tariff.
Some networks bar 09 numbers by default. If the call won't connect, contact your network and ask them to lift the bar; they may ask you to confirm you're over 18.
Frequently asked
What people ask us before they ring
Is there a genuinely free phone sex number in the UK?
Not one that connects you to a live hostess. Adult services have to use 09 numbers, which are always charged, and a Freephone 0800 number gives no way to pay the person who answers.
Do you offer free minutes or a free trial?
No. There's no free minute and no trial. What you get instead is one price, shown next to the number, that doesn't change with the hostess or the hour.
Will I be asked for a card?
No. The call is charged to your phone bill by your phone company, so there are no payment details to give on this site.
Does it cost anything to look at the profiles?
No. Browsing is free, and you don't need an account to do it.
So what does a call cost?
45p per minute plus your phone company's access charge. For a ten-minute call, our part comes to £4.50; the access charge depends on your network.
