What Covmod is

Covmod is an adult phone chat service. You browse the hostesses' profiles, choose who you'd like to speak to, ring one number and key in her code. That's the whole process.

The women who answer are real, over 18 and working with our telephony partner, which puts your call through to them. They work under a stage name, as is standard across the industry.

What we're not

• We don't pass off pictures as portraits. The profile photos and bios are computer-generated: they give each hostess a face and a story, but they don't show the woman you'll be speaking to.
• No real person, famous or otherwise, has had their face or voice borrowed to build a profile.
• We're not a dating site. No meet-ups, no swapping numbers: the service stops at the phone call.
• We don't sell your data, and we never publish anyone's conversations. Calls may be recorded by our telephony partner for legal compliance only, and you're told if they are.
• Over-18s only. Always.

Why we bother with all this

Premium-rate chat lines haven't always earned a good name in Britain: small print, stock photos, prices buried at the bottom of the page. We'd rather tell you the price up front and point out exactly what's illustration, then let the conversation do the rest.

It's also why we write a blog about conversation, confidence and first dates. Covmod is a place to talk, not a stand-in for the rest of your life.
